A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP, SWP3) is a site-specific plan to prevent pollutants from entering surface waters. A SWPPP is generally required for compliance with a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit under the following project/site conditions:
- A construction project disturbing one or more acres of ground or
- An industrial facility/site with a Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) or activity identified for coverage by the EPA or local permitting authority.
However, there are some exceptions and we would gladly help you determine if a SWPPP is required for your project/facility.
